About the Art

Having inspired art is the secret to creating a home you will love.

I combine fabric, silkscreen, painting, and stitching to create beautiful art pillows that delight the eye and uplift the heart.  I re-purpose fabric and other fragments to explore the complex issues of personal identity and inter-personal relationships.  Through creating I am able to nurture my own internal growth in order to understand and make peace with myself. Through that internal peace I am then able to make peace with others. I use hand-made pillows as my medium and entice the viewer with the tactile beauty created by layering vibrant fabrics, exotic ribbons, Indian saris, glass beads and charms.  The pillow is a perfect vehicle for displaying the creative intricacies of my collages and embroidery.  The supportive and comforting form of the pillow itself further emphasizes my themes and messages.
